Model Material: The Next Step

This eight-week session following Model Behavior builds on the social skills, personal style and etiquette lessons you learned in Model Behavior. In Model Material, you will learn what successful models must do behind the scenes and in front of the camera. You also will continue work on your interviewing and public speaking skills. Classes are two hours each week for a total of 16 instructional hours in each course.

If you have model potential, this class is the logical next step toward a career in the fashion industry. If your physical gifts and career aspirations lie elsewhere, you will benefit by developing the image and confidence you need to be successful in any pursuit.
Model Material is highly interactive. Students will learn:

  • Professional runway techniques
  • Professional photography movement
  • Professional hand positions for interviewing or modeling
  • Catalog and editorial modeling
  • Make-up for daytime and the runway
  • Creative wardrobing
  • Interviewing savvy
  • Commercial reading
  • Improv with LypSchtick’s Beth Muehling and Shelly Giess.
