New Bag and Jewelry Line Benefit People in Need

My favorite!

About three years ago, I met a woman, Nancy, who was helping another young woman in Mexico.

Ana Patricia was making jewelry on the street of Mexico, using her teeth to cut and shape silver, finding odds and ends on the street to use as “jewels”.

Long story, short, Nancy started  bring Ana Patricia’s jewelry to the states. She couldn’t keep it on her shelves, it sold so fast.

Today, Nancy has helped Ana Patricia and her family get college educations, buy a car, and help her family’s overall financial position. It is Nancy’s mission and now her involvement helps many families in Mexico and Guatemala.

Ana Patricia’s work resembles Silpata and other well-known pieces; but the cost is much less! Added to the mix are bags, wallets and other beautiful accessories.

I have decided to help Nancy in her mission work by offering the Ana Patricia line in Lincoln. Check out some of my stock. Everything is under $100…the earrings, $8 – $12! And the bags…just look at them! I sold one before I even got all the stock unpacked!

If you are interested in stopping by to see the inventory, please just give me a call at 440-9524. And remember, a portion of every sale goes to missions!

Thank you for checking us out!

Rachel Mann, Nebraska’s ANTSO Miss 2008

Good morning!I want to share an opportunity with you.

Kimberly Somer, Director of Nebraska’s National Teenager Pageant, will be in Lincoln for an informational meeting.

If you’ve ever wondered about pageants, but they seem to intimidating…or worse!…this is your chance to learn about one of the best.

America’s National Teenager is truly a scholarship event. There is no swimsuit competition and talent is optional. You are judged on interview, on-stage question, evening gown, grades and community service. Then there is a fun event where you decorate a pair of jeans to model. That’s it.

I can get you ready for interview and on-stage question. You’ll have to get the grades and get involved. But anything you’ve done, whether once or on-going for school, church, community group…will work. Start making your list.

There is no obligation if you come to the meeting. This is for learning.

Following is what you need to know:

Where:   Club Kicks. That’s south of Hwy 2 on 48th st, behind the car wash. Not great parking, so park across Rentworth, near Stauffer’s Cafe.

When:  Tuesday, September 9, 5:30 – 6:30.

Who:  All age groups, 7 – 25!

I better see you there!

Lincoln, Nebraska is not a place you think of when you want to find the trendy or the chic. However, that is about to change.

Lincoln is, after all, a college town, busting with young women who want to rock a look and don’t want to have to travel, whether real time or via the internet, to find their unique style.

Enter emmy + ivy.

I have to admit, I haven’t even visited their store yet. So why the hype?

Because my good friend and master photographer, Khara Lintel-Plicanic of KaBloom Studios was shooting my models for a job last Thursday and she was wearing this absolutely amazing ring. It was an emmy + ivy! You will get to see it in several shots, as the models wore it with gowns and, well, not gowns!

I can’t wait to meet these creative women and show off my own pick of the rings! I love the blue and sterling one above!

Don’t lose heart if you’re not in the Big Red state. You can purchase emmy + ivy here.
